The 4th edition of the Neymar Jr. Institute’s charity auction was held this Monday, June 3, 2024, at the renowned Clube Monte Virgínia, in São Paulo. This annual event, known for bringing together celebrities and exclusive items to raise funds for the institute’s activities, exceeded all expectations by raising a record amount of R$21 million. The amount more than doubled the previous year’s collection, which had been almost R$10 million.

From the beginning of the evening, the atmosphere was one of enthusiasm and solidarity. The presence of celebrities such as Patrícia Poeta, Rodrigo Faro, Roberto Justus, Ana Paula Siebert, Tiago Leifert, Luciana Gimenez, Silvia Abravanel, João Silva, Adriane Galisteu, Bruno Avelar and Carlinhos Maia guaranteed the glamor and visibility of the event. These presenters played a crucial role in conducting the auction, encouraging bids and highlighting the importance of the causes supported by the institute.
The record fundraising was achieved even before the auction was halfway through, when a participant purchased lot 15 for an impressive R$3 million. This lot offered a unique opportunity to participate in an advertising campaign with presenters Rodrigo Faro and Adriane Galisteu, as well as singer Jojo Todynho. In total, 24 lots were made available, each offering exclusive experiences and items that aroused great interest among those present.

Among the most notable lots were the shirt from Pelé’s last game autographed by the former player himself (Lot 1), an eight-day trip to the United Arab Emirates and the Maldives for two people (Lot 2), and an exclusive box at the show by singer Eric Clapton, scheduled for September 29th at Allianz Parque, with capacity for 12 people (Lot 3). Another notable item was a Brazilian team shirt signed by all the players who participated in the match against Paraguay in October 2022 (Lot 4).

The event also included unique experiences, such as four nights in a house in Orlando with behind-the-scenes access to the Magic Kingdom park and a Disney cruise (Lot 5), an experience at the Grande Hotel de Araxá with tennis player Bruno Soares and tickets to the U.S. Open for two people (Lot 6), and a poker game with Neymar, also for two people (Lot 8). Each batch offered something exceptional, whether for sports, travel or entertainment lovers.

All the money raised will go towards the activities of the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., which carries out fundamental work in promoting education, culture and sports for children and young people from needy communities. The generosity of the participants and the quality of the auctioned items demonstrate society’s commitment to the social causes supported by the institute.
In addition, Neymar Jr. will double the amount raised, allocating his donation to those affected by the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.

The success of this 4th edition of the Neymar Jr. Institute auction highlights the power of solidarity and the ability to mobilize around noble causes. With the participation of celebrities, businesspeople and philanthropists, the event not only raised significant funds, but also strengthened the support network for the social work carried out by the institute. The expectation is that the coming years will continue to bring even more contributions and partnerships towards a better future for many Brazilian children and young people.
