WHO WE ARE

The Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. is a non-profit civil association, whose objective is to expand opportunities for children, adolescents and their families living in social vulnerability situation, through education, culture, sports and health.
Our story began in 2010 with the project’s conception, but it was only on December 23, 2014 that we introduced Instituto Neymar Jr. to the society.
The Instituto was built in a 8,400 m² area, located at the Jardim Glória, in the city of Praia Grande, a community that has several difficulties and limitations already experienced by Neymar Jr. and his family, who were once residents of the neighborhood.
The social project has the capacity to assist 3,000 children and young people between the ages of 7 and 17, as well as their families, impacting more than 10,000 people.
Envisioned by athlete Neymar Jr. and his family, understanding that through knowledge and opportunities it is possible to transform the lives of countless families, the social project has been performing in society for seven years.

Why this neighborhood?

Why this neighborhood?

Neymar Jr. spent much of his childhood in the Jardim Glória neighborhood. The athlete and his family are deeply aware of the reality of those who live in a social vulnerability situation in the region and, therefore, they wanted to give back to society everything they lived and learned in Praia Grande. The athlete always had his family support at home, at school and on the pitch, which was essential for him to walk this path and achieve what few have achieved.
On the other hand, many of the children who grew up with him in Jardim Glória did not have this same structure and ended up being susceptible to the social problems existing in the area. With the Instituto’s presence in the city, Neymar Jr. and his familly offers new opportunities and access to information so that these young people and their families can have a chance at a better life inside and outside home.
