On the night of this Thursday (22nd), the 3rd Benefit Auction of the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. took place, at Clube Monte Virgínia, in São Paulo, with a record amount of proceeds, totaling more than R$10 million.
27 lots were auctioned in total, including a national team shirt signed by Pelé and Neymar, PSG shirt signed by Neymar, Mbappé and Messi, carnival in São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with Sabrina Sato, and two shirts signed by Jimmy Butler, used by the athlete in the NBA finals, and a pair of sneakers he wore in the game in which he scored the record number of points in his career. The item auctioned with the highest value was the clothes worn by the night’s host at the event: a blazer and a Neymar gold chain and a Rolex watch, totaling R$1.2 million in a single lot.
Neymar Jr. and his family received around 900 guests, including athletes, celebrities, personalities and businesspeople. The event also featured presentations by Patrícia Abravanel, Déborah Secco, Celso Portiolli, Luciana Gimenez, Patrícia Poeta, Virgínia Fonseca, Poliana Rocha, Rafaella Santos, Rodrygo Goes and Seu Jorge.
The main star of the night, star player Neymar Jr. was excited about holding another edition of the Auction and what it means for the children of INJR. “Another auction in benefit of the Institute, happy for all these artists, for all the guests, all the people who are present here, I am very happy.”
The entire amount raised by the auction will be donated to activities developed by the Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., which serves 3,000 children and teenagers aged 7 to 17 and impacts more than 10,000 people in the Jardim Glória neighborhood in Praia Grande.
