Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. welcomed former football player Alan Sena, founder and creator of Projeto Seninha, for a visit to the institution’s facilities in Praia Grande, on the coast of São Paulo. During the visit, he learned more about the spaces, projects, and activities developed on a daily basis with children, teenagers, and their families.

Throughout the visit, Alan Sena had the opportunity to learn about different areas of Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr. and to see the structure used for the institution’s activities. The program presented part of the work carried out in education, sports, culture, health, and opportunities.

Founded by Alan Sena, Projeto Seninha operates in Feira de Santana, Bahia, with initiatives focused on the development of children and teenagers. The project uses sports, education, and cultural activities as tools to expand opportunities and contribute to the development of its participants.

Projeto Seninha operates in a different territorial context from Instituto Projeto Neymar Jr., which carries out its activities in Praia Grande. Despite the particularities of each setting, both initiatives work with children and teenagers and use different activities as tools for education and development.

The meeting also provided an opportunity for an exchange of experiences between the representatives of the two initiatives. The visit allowed them to share knowledge related to the practices developed by each project and to learn about different approaches to social work.

Bringing together initiatives operating in different regions also contributes to broader dialogue about the challenges and possibilities involved in the development of children and teenagers.
