In light of the recent rise in meningitis cases in the Baixada Santista region, the institution organized a lecture for student guardians to address questions and emphasize the importance of prevention.

The session was led by Dr. Philipe Saccab, coordinator of the Espaço Saúde, and infectious disease specialist Dr. Ana Paula Freitas. The speakers provided clear explanations on key warning signs, transmission routes, and essential preventive measures.

The lecture also highlighted the central role of vaccination in preventing meningitis, underscoring the importance of keeping immunizations up to date as an effective measure to reduce risks and avoid complications.
